DAD 812

This module is used to acquire analog signals from any transducer after suitable signal conditioning, or from any analog source. The analogue input must be in the range of 0V to 5V DC. These analogue signals can be from transducer interface like, LVDT, Strain gauge, Load cell, Torque transducer, function generator etc. 16 channel multiplexer is built into this device, and they are Microprocessor compatible logic levels.
It also has 8 bit DAC with buffered voltage output using DAC 1408.

DAD 808

The ADC-08 Analog to Digital Converter card interfaces with Micro controller and Microprocessor kits. It is used to study basics of Analog To Digital conversion using µProcessors / µControllers and develop real time process control applications.

The ADC-08 card has 8 channels of AD input which are be are multiplexed to one channel of the monolithic CMOS 8 bit successive approximation analog to digital converter ADC-0809. This converter features a high impedance chopper stabilized comparator, its resolution is 8 bits and conversion time is 100 µsec's. It has a programmable clock oscillator that generates 100 KHz clock signal.

It also has 8 bit DAC with buffered voltage output using DAC 1408.

STM-2

The STM-2 card interfaces with any Micro controller and Microprocessor kits and has the capability to drive 12V dc.1 amp/phase stepper motor and has the choice of rotating direction. The card can have variable speeds and steps from 0 to 64K. Easy operational software is also provided.

The dynamic torque is mainly controlled by the drive circuit and the output transistors can give up to 1 amp current. The working temperature of the stepper motor is 30 to 40 ° C. above ambient.

ELV 4

This card simulates the lift operation in a multistoried building. The card is provided with software, which will simulate the life operation of a four storied building. There are four request keys and when any one of the addition there are 4 keys for user expansion purposes.

These keys are connected to the set pins of 74LS74 Flip/Flop, and whenever any of the keys to indicate the requested floor. Ten other LED's on the left side of the card indicated the position of the lift. The Green LED indicates the particular floor and the Yellow LED indicate the motion of the elevator.

The speed of the elevator can be controlled by software. As the elevator starts from ground, the Green and Yellow LED's start glowing sequentially. This simulates the motion of the elevator.

The DC motor used in this card is used in Tape recorders, VCR's etc.. DC motors are also used in verity of other applications like locomotives, Aero planes but are of different ratings. However since control mechanism is the same, at this module helps student understand how a microprocessor-based control is possible.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

The Temperature Controller card interfaces with the any Microprocessor / Micro controller kit and is used to read temperature using thermocouples & can control temperature using a relay (On-Off Type Control)
Varying the variable potentiometer provides the gain.

The relay section is used to controller the temperature and indicates the temperature level. In this section one Reed relay are used with one LED for indication, which shows the switching of the relay. Using these relays an On-Off control setup can be set up.

SPECIFICATIONS

With 3 wires RTD as temperature sensor ADC 7109 reads the temperature and controls the TTL output to generate the control signal for heating element.

Analog output of 8-bit DAC will also be optionally available to control the heating element.
