MICROMAX COMPANY HISTORY

MICROMAX was founded in 1985 by Mr. Arun Potdar, Master of electronics engineering at Maharashtra State, Poona University, INDIA. The company began with the design and manufacture of Microprocessor based training kits for Educational Institutes. In 1987, Micromax developed the patented Microprocessor based Training Kit which was the first product. The company has supplied around 5,000 training kits to engineering colleges and individual enterprenures all over India. Apart from this, Mr. Potdar started developing microprocessor based custom-built equipments and related softwares as a different business activity.

In 1995, Mr. Sateesh Bhosale, Master in Electronics Engineering joined as a business partner and formed another company 'MICROMAX INSTURMENTS PVT. LTD' having 50% shares each of them. Now, Mr. Arun Potdar is the Managing Director and Mr.Sateesh Bhosale is the Director of the company.

The company branched out into the design and manufacture of LED based Moving Message Signs for Indoor and Outdoor application, custom-built industrial ANDON displays & scoreboards, LED based temperature/humidity signs, Digital Master and Slave Clocks, Queue Regulating System and computer-programmable displays. Micromax can now offer the following products:

 

MICROMAX ENGINEERING:

Micromax has gained its place in a highly technical industry as an engineering-driven company that is ready, willing, and able to provide solutions to its customers' visual communications needs. Managing Director Mr. Arun Potdar has a masters degree in electronics engineering. Director Mr. Sateesh Bhosale has also a masters degree in engineering. Both use their training and experience to lead one of the industry's technical staffs.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

Each custom order, once received, is assigned a project manager who is responsible to guide it through design, manufacturing, and installation. The project manager provides an important link between the customer and Micromax.

 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

Micromax maintains its leadership position in the electronic display industry by refining and developing products which meet and exceed customer demands. Product managers work closely with Micromax sales group and end users to find out how new products might be developed or existing products improved to better serve customers.

 

SOFTWARE DESIGN:

Micromax full-time staff of software engineers pay close attention to users' needs to make sure the programs fulfill those needs over the life of the product.

 

COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN AND DRAFTING (CADD):

Micromax utilizes CADD systems in the engineering areas. CADD workstations are networked, allowing designers to achieve a high degree of design and drafting productivity to better serve our customers.
